Mike Dardis co-anchors the Morning News on KOMO-4 from 5-7 a.m. and 11 a.m. weekdays. He’s been waking up early with Northwest viewers since January of 2004.

Mike has been in the TV business for nearly two decades. He comes to Seattle after 10- years at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia. In Philly, Mike was part of the anchor team that won an Emmy for "Best Newscast." He's also been honored with Emmys for hosting and producing public affairs specials.

Before turning to news, Mike worked as a sportscaster. He was twice awarded "Best Sportscast" in the state of Pennsylvania by the Associated Press. His other stops along the TV road were WMGC-TV in Binghamton, New York; WPTZ in the Burlington, Vermont market and WHP-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Mike is also very passionate about mentoring young people. Thanks to his early work hours, he's able to spend time doing a lot of volunteering. He coaches Little League Baseball, Softball, Football, Basketball and Soccer. If there's a sport played by kids, there's a chance you'll see Mike on the field.

Mike Dardis lives on the Eastside with his wife and two kids.
