Cindi Rinehart

By (BI) Breanna Burmeister

Cindi Rinehart came to Seattle nearly 20 years ago bringing her extensive daytime drama knowledge to KOMO television which was launching a new kind of talk show, part soap opera information and part talk. Since ABC has such a strong soap opera lineup throughout the afternoon, Cindi was the perfect segue for loyal soap fans and quickly became known as the Soap Queen. She gives out scoop on the shows and stars of Daytime Television. She regularly interviews soap celebrities, such as Kelly Ripa and daytime legend Susan Lucci, giving viewers the ability to "Touch the Stars."

Cindi has two Emmy Awards: one for TALENT HOST one for ENTERTAINING SEGMENT and 13 Emmy nominations. She has also done many national pilots and appeared on several soap operas including All My Children, Passions, General Hospital several times, Port Charles and Loving to name a few.

Born in San Antonio, Texas to an Air Force family, Cindi has traveled all over the country. Her start in the business began with WCOL Radio in Columbus, Ohio. She hosted her own radio show, began writing and voicing commercials which led to writing and being the talent in many television commercials. Cindi played drums in a band for seven years before returning to radio at WRMF in Palm Beach, Florida. Eventually she landed a job hosting a show in Columbus, Ohio called Soap Scoop which led her to coming to Northwest Afternoon here in Seattle.

Cindi lives with her husband, Jim and their two Schnauzers in West Seattle. She loves to travel, ride horses, swim, dance and garden.
