Ken's e-mails: C'mon, give Hillary a chance
By Ken Schram
Giving "The Schrammie" to Sen. Hillary Clinton this week evoked a more than modest amount of dissension from viewers.
I thought it was time for her to pack up her presidential aspirations so that Democrats can start uniting against Sen. John McCain. (Read earlier commentary at this link.) From Bob Ponder: "I can't believe you would ... blast someone (like) Mrs. Clinton for doing what she can to help this country get back on its feet after 7 years under george duh duh." Jeff Beech: "I’m a Hillary supporter. She won the big states. ... Why don't you spend more time writing balanced columns instead of pushing your favorite candidate?" Jim Tostevin: "I’d much prefer to be able to vote for Clinton in November, and I think she'd do a much better job. That obviously doesn't mean much to you because you needed someone to dump on with your 'Schrammie' rant." Sam Anderson: "Good grief, are you that much of a chauvinist that you can't see the forest for the trees?" And finally, from Jan Griffeth: "The media bad-mouthing is a needless distraction from real issues. ... Next time I’ll see if I can find a head on commercial to listen to instead." Wow. Now I’ve got a headache! Take care everyone, and thanks for writing. |
