SEATTLE - After getting blown around a bit Wednesday afternoon, many spots in western Washington were ready for something a little more peaceful.
And what's more peaceful than a little snow? (Just as long as it's not waist deep on the roads you commute on)
Colder air filtered in behind Wednesday's storm, and that combined with some leftover showers to bring snow to a few spots around western Washington.
The winners of the "snow lottery" this time around appeared to be the general Eatonville area, which reported a good 2-3 inches. We also got reports of a little accumulating snow in Ferndale, Everson, Sequim, the central Coast, and down in Lewis County near Pe Ell.
Snow has mixed with the rain elsewhere around the Sound -- bringing non-sticking snow at times.
The snow was expected to change to mostly rain as the day warms into the 40s by afternoon, but with overnight lows expected near 30 Thursday night, isolated snow showers remain in the forecast. So if you missed out on the snow this time, you still have one "snow lottery ticket" left.
