Pierce County sheriff's detectives are seeking the public's help in locating a missing Level 3 sex offender with a history of child rape and molestation.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of William A. Blythe, 29, who is considered very dangerous and at serious threat to re-offend. A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Blythe has previous convictions from 1993 for three counts of first-degree child rape, three counts of first-degree child molestation, and one count of
first-degree incest.

His victims include a 13-month-old baby, a 2-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. During his sexual deviancy treatment in prison, he claimed to have about 35 victims, including animals.

As a transient sex offender, he is required to check in with law enforcement officials every week. However, he has not done so since Oct. 17.

Blythe is 5 feet 6 inches tall, 205 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Lakewood and Seattle areas.

Anyone with information is asked to call 253-591-5959. All callers will remain anonymous.
