Green Lake flasher spooks women

By KOMO Staff

SEATTLE -- Two women say a Green Lake jogger dropped his drawers right in front of them on Tuesday night as they were stretching after exercising at the lake.

Police said the flasher, who is described as an avid runner in his 20s or 30s, made his appearance after dark, around 8 p.m.

The women told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper that they first thought the man was wearing shorts, which they thought was odd since the weather was quite chilly.

"I could see most of his white legs even in the dark from pretty far," said one of the victims.

But the women soon realized the man was actually naked from the waist down.

Back in January a flasher exposed himself to a 24-year-old woman while she was jogging at the lake, but police do not believe the two incidents are related.

Police advise Green Lake patrons to arm themselves with an exercise companion or at least a cell phone. Anyone who sees a flasher is urged to call 911.
