Fort Lewis battalion to be deployed to Iraq

FORT LEWIS, Wash. (AP) - A Fort Lewis battalion of about 490 soldiers will be deployed to Iraq for a third time.

The battalion's mission will be searching out and destroying Improvised Exploding Devices, road repair and general construction.

The 14th Combat Engineer Battalion Deployment/Flag Casing Ceremony will take place Thursday at Fort Lewis.

The unit first deployed in November 2005 and in August 2006.
