By KOMO Staff

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Two men were found burned to death Friday morning at a homeless encampment in a wooded area near Mud Bay Road.

Police spokesman Tor Bjornstad said it appears a weather canopy strung between two trees caught fire and fell on the two men sometime overnight.

Detectives are treating the area as a crime scene while they complete their investigation, but said there were no obvious signs of foul play.

The names of the two men have not been released.
