Motorcyclist hurt in Spanaway hit-and-run

SPANAWAY - A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash Friday, and deputies are looking for a sport utility vehicle that fled after the accident.

Pierce County sheriff's deputies are looking for the driver of a light-colored SUV that left the scene of the collision at 168th Street East and 22nd Avenue East just after 11 a.m.

Officers say they believe the SUV will likely have damage.

The victim has been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said Pierce County Sheriff's Office spokesman Ed Troyer.

The motorcyclist's identity and condition are not yet available.
