Marysville police make arrest in 3-year-old killing

MARYSVILLE – A second man was arrested Friday in connection with the murder of a Marysville man who was killed three years ago.
The transient man, 26, was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder in the killing of Charles Hughley, 39, also of Marysville, said Cmdr. Ralph Krusey of the Marysville police. No bail has yet been set. The victim was discovered dead in an abandoned house in the 100 block of Beach Avenue on April 13, 2005. The suspect told detectives he had gone to the abandoned house with three other individuals when the murder occurred, police said. The suspect admitted to assaulting Charles Hughley during the murder and disposing of evidence, according to police. Marysville detectives are continuing the investigation. |
