Boy run over by car; survives with minor injuries
By KOMO Staff
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A 4-year-old Sammamish boy is a medical marvel Monday afternoon after he was run over by a car earlier in the day, but survived with just a few bumps and bruises.
Greg Grannis with Bellevue Police says the incident occurred just after noon in the Bellevue Four Square Church parking lot in the 14400 block of NE 8th Street. The driver of a Toyota apparently didn't see the boy behind him and backed completely over him. The boy was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. But miraculously, was found to just have a few bruises and scrapes, but no broken bones or internal injuries. Grannis says the driver was fully cooperative and volunteered a blood draw. He says he doesn't believe any alcohol or drugs were involved and they do not expect to file any charges. The boy has not been identified. |
