SEATTLE - Jonah Burke wants you to think about two numbers: 400,000 -- That's how many people have been killed in the fighting in Sudan between Government troops and rebels. And the other number is 1. As in, $1 he'd like you to consider donating to help victims of the genocide.

"The militia doesn't just fight armed forces, they kill civilians and since 2003 they've killed 400,000 civilians," says Burke.

From his Capitol Hill apartment in Seattle, Jonah Burke wanted to do something to help. It's this. His website darfurwall.org. Get on his web site and you'll see 40 squares.

Burke says click any square and "you'll see 10,000 numbers." Donate a dollar, you get to adopt a number. Each number represents one of the victims of Darfur. Adopt a number and the number lights up on his website.

"Number 1, Matte Burke, Seattle Washington," Burke reads from the web site. His brother donated the first dollar. Three months later, "We're up to $32,620." His goal is $400,000.

Donations are not tax deductible yet, but Jonah Burke is applying for Federal non profit status and expects to receive it soon.
