Police say a man pretending to be a cop has called more than a dozen women in Tacoma and University Place over the past two months, telling them to go to the window and undress.

Hard to believe this would work, but investigators say at least one woman fell for the scam.

"No law enforcement agency is going to call and make that request of anybody," said Mark Fulgram with Tacoma Police.

Investigators won't say specifically what the man says on the phone as they don't want to jeopardize the case, but detectives do want to end this scam soon.

Police say if you get a call, Dial *57 on your phone before you hang up. That will save the calling number and could help police.
