High School Coach Charged With Sexual Misconduct

SEATTLE - A former Seattle Prep assistant basketball coach was charged Wednesday with sexual misconduct with a minor after allegedly admitting to a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

According to court documents, police interviewed Khalila O'Rielly-Williams, 23, in early March and she admitted to having a sexual relationship with the student.

O'Rielly-Williams met the teen in the fall of 2005 while she was working as a coach for the junior varsity basketball team. The documents state the two engaged in sexual activity numerous times between January and March 2006 at O'Rielly-Williams' home in Seattle.

The documents state that O'Rielly-Williams admitted to a Seattle police detective that she knew that it was wrong for her to become involved with the victim.

O'Rielly-Williams is no longer employed at Seattle Prep. School Principal Mike Tyrrell declined comment except to read a prepared statement saying, "We have every confidence that there will be just resolution of this case."

She was charged with three counts of first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor, but has not been arrested. She is due to be arraigned in King County Superior Court on March 22.
